Is there any solution to this problem with the Conexant driver? If not then is there any other audio drivers The reason I didn't stick with the other driver is because the Conexant driver has better quality sound (when it's working). I've been told it could be a hardware issue but I don't think it is because for a while I've used a different driver and I have never It from the device manager and from lenovo's site (there doesn't seem to be anything on conexant's site) but nothing works. I've tried uninstalling it and re-installing it, I've tried updating The only way I can deal with this is disabling the driver, re-enable it then restart my laptop. Video or whatever there would simply be no sound coming from the video and I don't know why. I have been having a recurring problem with my audio driver (Conexant SmartAudio HD) basically since I got the laptop, about 2 or 3 times a day the sound would randomly stop working. I have a Lenovo G500 laptop with windows 8.1.
